Sunset /SOLD/ Painting

My art focuses on texture and abstract color(-field) compositions. Most based on traditional media and techniques, such as canvas painted with acrylic and mixed media. The works reflect my attitude of life and of painting 'sometimes less is more'. I am really impressed by the art of Mark Rothko, Gerhard Richter, Pierre Soulages, Hur Kyung-Ae, Christian Hetzel and Judit Reigl. Creativity in the form of drawing and later expressed through painting was already manifested during my childhood. Although I was directed as child to choose a so called "safe" career that is economics, later I came to understand that this talent of mine was also my life’s calling. I am destined to paint. Large paintings are my favorite, because as I work through the details, an even larger picture emerges. For me each painting is a real discovery.
