About the Artist

Theodora Michelopoulou

Greece

I am a visual artist based in Athens, Greece. My work is characterized by a blend of themes such as memory, identity, nature and the human condition.

One of my most significant themes is memory and I frequently explore this theme through my work. I am interested in how memories are formed and how they are linked to personal and collective identity.

Another significant theme in my work is the human condition. I am interested in the ways in which people navigate the complexities of the modern world, and I explore this through my use of symbolism and metaphor. Many of my works depict figures in various states of vulnerability or isolation, suggesting a sense of alienation and disconnection.

Overall, I am happy that my work engages with some of the most pressing issues of our time.
