About The Artwork

The Colors Paradise painting series is a Project composed of 53 paintings, based on Isaac Newton's theory of colour that analyses the effect of colour on perception and human behaviour. It is an impression that allows control over the state of mind, through energetic and stimulating combinations. Colour also mixes with other senses, through the so-called synaesthesia, perceiving all kinds of sensations such as velvety, bright or sweet colours. Descriptive text of the painting: Visual beauty is pleasing, but it is also important that it is complete, that its insides are not deformed.

Artist, photographer and desalination engineer based in Paris. Carmen has always loved painting, colour makes her feel alive, it relaxes her and immerses her in spaces full of plenitude. She started painting at the age of 3 and began experimenting with photography more than 10 years ago. The artist works as a desalination engineer, after her Master's degree in engineering in Madrid in 2016, she has worked in several desalination plants in Spain, living in Barcelona, Alicante, and Almería. The sea has been a source of inspiration in recent years. In the series "MINE OF TEXTURES," which is a series of photography made through mobile and ephemeral painting works, subsequently destroyed, Carmen used salts, crystals, and filtration media such as sand or anthracite used in seawater desalination to create textures. She has always liked to express herself through art and to be free to create without any limitations, with one of her first series being "COLORS PARADISE," a series of 53 works painted from the subconscious. The artist has no influences linked to art studies, she is a completely self-taught artist. Carmen arrived in Paris in 2021 to take advantage of the growth opportunities in art offered by the capital. Her style, which she has been working on since 2013, is based on the combination of painting and photography with the aim of immersing the spectator in her work, where they can enjoy the different spaces that are created.
