This is one of the cavalry farriers doing his vital work shoeing one of the cavalry horses. These horses are mostly based in London and used to using the roads to get to their positions at ceremonial and everyday duty times. Seeing his strength and knowledge of the individual horse is fascinating, like us the horses all have different sizes hooves and each shoe is tailor made for the individual horse.
