About The Artwork
The painting The Hunter is an expression of my intense love for the Yorkshire Dales. In 2016, I was hiking near Kisdon Falls, just after an extremely wet period. At the end of the day, I found dozens of rabbits, shot dead, along the River Swale. The hunter had already left. For the portrait of the hunter, I used an old picture of the Russian Tsar Nicholas II
