I was inspired to this painting by the long snowy-white winter of 20/21 - white was the dominant colour everywhere. This work consists of many layers of acrylic paint, the last one being white. Thus overpainted, the artwork shows an expressive texture which invites you to have a closer look and find out about what is hidden behind the white surface. The work is titled, signed and dated on the back. It is sold without a frame, but ready to hang.

I am a Czech-born and now Germany based painter. In my works I explore the essence of what surrounds me: why do people act the way they do? What lies beneath the surface of what meets the eye? What are we driven by? To express what I sense beneath the surface I feel drawn to different materials and a range of colours, which I apply in different layers on my canvases and papers, using a variety of techniques including scratching, brushing and printing. This way expressive works are created, some reduced to basic expressions, others rich in colour and texture.
