This is part of a series of works done on basketball backboards and rims. This is from my "Basketball Jones" series. Part sculpture, part installation, part painting. I find Basketball to be such a beautiful and precise sport and art. Plus I find it far more creative artistically than any other sport. The ball and hoop are so close in size and the way into which they connect to each other is sometimes magical. But it is always precise. Some people, as in art, have mastered the technique of making "shots" Not everyone can do it and some of the best still don't get any recognition or are just outside of the gates of fame and riches and glory... Just like The world of art. They are very similar. Basketball and art. Let us pray. In the name of the... Original, Nicholas Conlon
Signed on the back, this piece can be hung by the holes in the back. Comes with signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Please look at each piece separate. Each piece has its own identity. It's own characteristics. Every stroke is different. Almost every idea is a big change from the one before and the one ahead of it. I am a conceptual artist. Sometimes it's a film and sometimes it's a drawing of a pigeon on a dirty, broken, backboard. Whatever I am feeling at the time I have to go run and paint or write. I think of an image and get it down on paper or canvas 70-95% of what was in my head. I am interested in art. I love it.
