This acrylic and sand painting is part of the Sand Series, in which a unique process is used to incorporate purified sand from one of the beautiful beaches of the Maritime Provinces of Canada into each painting. The pure sand blends seamlessly with the art, but enhances the textural and coastal mood of each piece. Although it appears delicate, the finished sand is very durable. The process renders the sand inert. It stands the test of time and will not compromise the integrity of the artwork. The painting continues on edges. This work has been professionally finished, wired, and is ready to hang on your wall. Framing is not necessary, but is optional. The sand for this piece was collected at Carter's Beach, Nova Scotia, Canada, along the scenic South Shore. The beach is known for it's crystal-clear water. It looks tropical but the water is chilly!
