About The Artwork

This is an interesting picture of a a kettle with a cactus on it. For housewives, tea time is a break after hard work at home. Housewives' daily lives are too busy. The morning routine ends after waking up the children in the morning, sending them to school, making their husbands go to work, and cleaning the house. It's around 11 a.m. At this time, I drink warm tea or morning coffee. This is a time of healing for the housewives alone. I hopes to share small joys and happiness with those who see my works. In the garden, it is full of the plants and flowers I'm growing. I drew this picture hoping that everyone get over difficult times caused by coronavirus. I hope everyone in the world will be healthier and happier. Wooden frame : (H)23.5 x (W)23.5 x (D)4.5 cm

I was born April 21, 1972 in Seoul, Korea, and grew up in Seoul, Korea till I went to Japan after marrying. I graduated from Dept. of Horticulture, College of Natural Sciences, Seoul Women’s University, studied Visual Design at Seoul National University of Science and Technology and Japan, graduated from Dept. of Painting, Seoul Digital University (BFA), and graduated from Dept. of Painting, College of Fine Arts, Hongik University (MFA). I held 24 private exhibitions starting from 2010, participated in more than 230 special exhibitions and group exhibitions and had multiple awards. Currently, I am working actively as director at the Exhibition Planning and Policy Department, Korean Association of Art and member and full-time artist in Korean Association of Christian Artists, Seongnam Association of Art, Writers Association of Bundang, Asia Association of Artists, Art Metro, and Line&Color. My work aims an artist's own story which is quite personal and descriptive. Small but touching experience felt in everyday life through 「The work looking into myself」. Childhood memories and inner story. This is not just an artist's own story but a self-portrait of everyone living today which is rapidly changing. Recently through ‘Urban Landscape Project’, I am not just representing loneliness and mind of people today by a foliage plant’s indoor purification and primarily function to watch leaves in indoor space of the dreary city, but working on focusing on how the space changes when the plants are laid in indoor and outer space.
