This was a repainted piece I did after discovering scraper as a tool. Highlights of metallic colours and bits of glitters on the canvas covering lines made by marker pen.

It's better late then never for newbie artist Ferhard Ahmad, who started painting at age 48 as a 'mental escape' from the corporate business world. After five fulfilling self-learning years, he has since refined his skills and defined his style. He is now a full-time artist at age 54. Ferhard cited Jose Parla, Julie Mehrehtu, Swedish artist Astrid Sylwan and German Charline Von Heyl as main influence in his early start to painting. He is a great admirer of Spanish master Joan Miro. He works with mixed medium and sometimes includes patches of peeled paint from his palette which he consider 'very intimate'. His favorite tool is a scrapper. Ferhard is born in 1964, Singapore, he is now based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My paintings are my personal exploration and are my own perception of beauty. You are free to interpret. Its your own connection, your own space, your own unique personal story. All my painting titles are from actual song titles or lyrics from song that I listened to. Music is inseparable from my life and I like to link it somehow to my artwork. I have an eclectic taste in music and my playlist has about 3000 songs. Art + Music + Badminton + Family = Happy Life
