This is one of a series of works paying homage to environmentally challenged regions of the earth. The melting glaciers in Iceland and other regions threaten our planet with melting/flooding and depleting the permafrost. As an artist focusing on the natural world, i feel the responsibility to reflect the environmental crisis threatening that world, and us. All of these works feature hard-edged flat shapes in metallic or brilliant hues that symbolize the invasion of mankind into these regions.
