This striking painting was an important piece for me, capturing how I felt about a moment in my life where I started to feel like I was the one who decided what was going to happen! It is full of expression and emotion and everyone who has seen it in person has been moved by it, which has been very humbling for me as the artist having created such a personal work. I would now love it to go to a home where it will be loved and appreciated for a long time. This is a large work that will create an impact and is visually strong enough to hang alone. It has d-rings and picture cord on the back (see additional photos) and so is ready to hang, but it would also frame well if you would like to do that.

I'm an artist working primarily in painting and drawing from my studio in rural Wiltshire, UK. I am fascinated by the relationship between language and images, and my current series, Sleep, is inspired by instances of sleep, insomnia, dreaming and nightmare in poems and other works of literature. In 2020, I completed a series of 48 small paintings inspired by T.S. Eliot's Four Quartets poems. Readings of the poems, set against the backdrop of my paintings,can be heard and seen on my YouTube channel. A book about the project will be published in 2021. My work is regularly exhibited in galleries and open exhibitions across the UK, and is included in private collections in the US, Australia, France and Britain.
