Like with all his diving paintings he absolutely adores and celebrates the beauty of diving. He likes to show diving as an artistic, joyful and deeply esthetic happening. To him, it’s not mere sports but a passion and a style of life. The design of the swimsuit is inspired by the art of Piet Mondrian. It underlines the artistry of her jump and gives a refreshing contrast to the realistic interpretation of the diving body. It deepens the symbolic character of the work.
