About The Artwork

I have realized that painting is an illusion of reality. What you paint on canvas is not real; it is an illusion of reality. Therefore, be imaginative, use composition, and create your own colors and textures to make the viewer feel it’s real. Then, you can call yourself an artist. In this painting, I tried to capture that illusion of reality. Is it successful? In fact, success doesn't have a definitive definition; it’s the pursuit of success that gives meaning to our journey. This painting is also a part of that journey. In terms of technique, I primarily rely on large painting knives to create my work. These tools yield captivating shapes, textures, and even unexpected 'accidents.' These serendipitous occurrences often serve as the lifeblood of my paintings, infusing them with spontaneity and vitality.

Forests have always been a source of inspiration for me, embodying a sense of mystery, tranquility, and untamed beauty. They are places where life flourishes in intricate, interconnected patterns, and where the spirit of the wild is palpable. My work seeks to reflect this complexity and vitality, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a visual experience that is at once familiar and otherworldly. In this series, realism serves as the foundation, grounding each piece in the recognizable forms and textures of the forest. Layered upon this realistic base is a dynamic interplay of abstract expressionism, where bold strokes, vibrant colors, and fluid forms convey the emotional and energetic qualities of the forest. This abstract dimension allows me to explore the unseen—those feelings and forces that pulse beneath the surface. It is here that the forest becomes a metaphor for the human experience, reflecting our inner landscapes of wonder, chaos, and harmony. Each painting in the "Impressionistic Abstract Forestscape Series" is a journey, an exploration of the dualities inherent in nature and within ourselves. The juxtaposition of realism and abstraction creates a space where the viewer can navigate between the known and the unknown, the seen and the felt. It is my hope that these works inspire a deeper connection to the natural world and a recognition of the beauty and complexity that lies within and around us.
