The Ascension Of Life
I have often had a fascination about how nature works, of how it initiates itself, develops and eventually ends a cycle or recycles itself. But the wonder is bigger of how something has a programme and timing, a metamorphosis which is deeply embedded from the smallest possible being. How does it start, how is it processed and how is it put into place from the beginning? I understand to the point that there is a basis to my fascination, but what is grand indeed is the transformation from something as minute as the nucleus.
To get you thinking, in my depiction I included at least four precious elements that help in the development of nature. Represented is earth, moist or water, light and representative seeds. The wind you cannot see, but isn’t there something else beyond these, don’t you think?
This abstract from my abstract thinking, is a mixed media painting on a gallery wrapped canvas which is meant to be hung without a frame. However, saying this, it most probably would suit being framed as well, despite being neatly painted on all the sides.

About The Artwork

The Ascension Of Life I have often had a fascination about how nature works, of how it initiates itself, develops and eventually ends a cycle or recycles itself. Jason is a painter and illustrator of various styles and different media for different ends. Principally a surrealistic and abstract artist, he has a fondness for satire and caricature, with a hint of humour fantasy and the whimsical. Nevertheless, there is a realistic and a sober aspect to some of his work too. His different genres of works are ongoing series which are added to from time to time, whether it is his Aviary, Abstract, Allegoric or any other style he employs. World events, social affairs and politics draw his attention, but he can be inspired by everything and anything seen, heard or felt. His expression can be direct or ambiguous. What is prevalent throughout his work is light, movement and flow, hardly any black is employed, leaning towards enlightenment.
