About The Artwork
I created this image to honor the Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangarri Maathai who said, “The generation that destroys the environment is not the generation that pays the price. That is the problem". She changed the economic environment for the women of Kenya by planting thirty million trees. By "The Awakening", remember that the Earth is a seed that the seasons prepare to grow. Trees must be planted to sustain life.
