The Big Scoop is a nostalgic piece that transports us back to the sweetness of our youth. The ice cream scoop symbolises the carefree pleasures of childhood, while the falling droplet reminds us of the fleeting nature of those innocent moments. The presence of the ice cream cone stirs feelings of nostalgia, inviting viewers to reminisce about the simple joys of growing up. This painting serves as a reminder to cherish the enduring sweetness of our sweet memories from the past. The composition is simple and the palette limited, it conveys a powerful message about the fragility and sweetness of life. Viewing and pickup available from Sydney or Worldwide Shipping included

Marie Aubeline Hiot is an artist working with multiple mediums, primarily drawing and painting, and with an influences from poetry and the beauty of the everyday life. “My artistic language consists of extracting graphic and simple images from everyday life, often naive. I like the subjectivity that an image can bring, and play with it. We go through so much in life without being able to realise the mundane beauty. I love to highlight it” Marie was born and raised in the South-West of France, where she studied design. In 2017, she decided to come to Australia, since then she has made Sydney her permanent home.
