About The Artwork

My painting is an homage to the stunning bas-relief carving of the churning of the milky ocean at Angkor wat . This powerful artwork has inspired me to create a piece that captures the essence of this mythological event in a new and vibrant way . Through my use of vivid colours and bold brush strokes, I have sought to convey the dynamic and energetic nature of this scene .The swirling yellows and greens of the ocean, combined with the fiery whites and reds of the gods and demons , create a striking and captivating image that draws the viewer in . For me , this painting represents a deep exploration of human experience. The churning of the milky ocean is a metaphor for constant struggle between opposing forces, both within ourselves and in the world around us. By capturing the energy and emotion of this event , I hope to create a sense of the profound and eternal themes that underlie our existence . In this painting , I have sought to create a bridge between the ancient and the modern , drawing on the rich heritage of Angkor wat while also bringing new life and vibrancy to this timeless story . Through my art , I hope to connect with the viewer on a deep and emotional level , inviting them to explore the themes and ideas that have captivated me .
