• The Communist Catfish • Painting

• After a girlfriend told me in October, 2020 that her brother’s birthday was going to be the following Saturday, I suggested that she should surprise him with a family dinner featuring a catfish dish. • In my texted suggestion, I included an image of my digital painting called the “Communist Catfish”. Since I was curious why people call the fish catfish, I decided to create what I thought should be a real catfish by marrying a cat and a fish. • In case you failed to notice, the problem with my artwork is that it showed no whiskers on the cat and the fish. Pardon me since I’m only a hobbyist artist, and I have no wish to be a perfectionist. • And if you want to know why I painted a red fish . . . I want the viewer to remember that red stands for beauty, energy, confidence, power, fire, war, and desire. • And speaking of desire, matching the cat with the fish should discourage the cat from eating any fish, but inspire it to propagate its birth by impregnating the fish every hour, every minute. •And by invading the waters of China and Russia, soon the Atlantic and Pacific seas will be filled with schools of aggressive Communist catfish.
