Looking for immortality, the man might forget about the most important thing that makes him human and that gives him the potential to become God: the soul. Today, the modern society is craving for genetic design ( laboratory selection) , beauty, artificial intelligence and eternal life, and there is only one step to be made from the world wide web to the world wide brain connected web. People hope that replacing their biological bodies with artificial ones and “uploading” their memory into them is the key for the eternal happiness..Will it be okay when all remained from a human being it will be the mind , living “ only” an eternal , dematerialized life on line? Choosing between spiritual immortality and physical immortality, how would it be? Do you have to lose one of them to get the other? Are we ready to pay any price for it? Is there something even worse than physical death? Many philosophical and religious systems around the world belive that the mind is not what we are, that the mind is only a software instrument given by the Creator to serve us , and they speak about a soul but none of them locate it somewhere specific in the body or outside the body. And though, we all know we have it. The elders say that our soul is the spark of light that stay inside us and makes us alive and able to grow. They also say that the soul makes us spiritually immortal. The philosophers called the phenomena transhumanism and some of the most important personalities of the moment wrote very interesting books about the subject, books that inspired me for this painting.
