The Flying Ship Painting

I’m a professional artist of silk painting and a specialist in folk arts (my main subject - Slavs). I work in a mixed complexity technique of batik and use only natural silk and textile dyes, which are (after completion of painting) professionally steamed for several hours to be fixed. So the dyes penetrate into the fabric structure and the texture of the silk is well preserved. Thus if necessary the artwork can be even removed from the panel and washed (the dyes completely resistant to washing, light, etc.). I love this kind of artworks because in general they are versatile: they can be used as a painting in the frame and can be worn as a scarf. I prefer fantasy stories and always use a lot of interesting details and elements, so my artworks are filled with hidden and explicit symbols and meanings. It’s a kind of a rebus which every spectator could interprets in his own way, as right exactly for him.
