"The Gentle Soul" was created during a personal art challenge I set for myself to practice and create art for 100 days. The process had many ups and downs, and I was confronted by my need to be "good." There were many times I just wanted to walk away and decide that maybe I will never be able to keep up making art daily. But, with me the whole time was this gentle voice - reminding me that what makes me show up to my art is Love. And that the best reason, in fact the only reason to show was for love. And, I think that is the message intended for the owner of this painting - that the only reason we need to show up to whatever we are trying to create in life is for love. This piece is 3 paintings in one, and can be arranged in any way that feels good. Made with a mixture of inks, watercolors, light-fast acrylics and gesso over paper elements. Coated in natural beeswax to preserve and protect the artwork.
