There is a large population of people from the Indian sub-continent in East London. These 2 were caught on camera apparently waiting for someone. There is an air of detachment around them; looking from behind the symbolic veil of the lamp post. I love the look and the costume. This painting is framed in a solid black frame and ready to hang. It is an imposing work which needs a large space to display

Been painting and drawing for more years than I care to remember,certainly over 50. I left the UK in the mid sixties and spent 12 years in Germany. It was at that time that I stopped painting and on my return to England did not resume. Then, on retirement I took up my brushes again. I have since mainly painted in Acrylic but more recently have journeyed back in time to try Gouache. I live with my wife in the New City of Milton Keynes in the heart of England. My two daughters both live in London.
