About The Artwork

"The Grace of Living Things," is a modern, abstract landscape of simple organic and geometric forms and gestural lines to create a sense of connection and flow. The warm ecru, white, and black palette is calm and neutral. Its movement is energetic, playful, and positive with a mid-mod feel. "The Grace of Living Things" documents that sense of how it feels to be immersed in the natural world, fully connected. Please see additional photos for details. Full size is 65H x 50W inches, leaving ample canvas to stretch on deep stretcher bars to its 60H x 45W x 1.5D image as shown. It is signed and back and ships in a tube. This is especially safe for larger works. Rolled canvas can be easily stretched (placed onto wooden stretcher bars) and/or framed by a local framer.

Featured in Saatchi Art collections and catalog, Michelle Louis is a full-time painter based near Madison, Wisconsin. Her work has been in numerous exhibitions, and included in corporate, public, and private collections throughout the United States and abroad, including the National Gallery of Costa Rica. She's licensed work to designers and consultants for projects large and small. "Artist and naturalist, my process-focused work explores balance, pattern, and connection in a complex world. Celebrating Nature through form and movement, I want to show you how Nature and time constantly expand and contract all around us. My paintings build a welcoming space for imaginative play, an invitation to open up and dig in. I hope my work serves as a reminder to be receptive to beauty and mystery. And that, whether artist or viewer, individual life experience makes its way into every artwork while Nature reminds us we are all part of something larger." Artist and naturalist trained in studio art, graphic design, and landscape architecture, Michelle Louis' studio extends to her yard, where she nurtures an edible landscape. BA, University of Wisconsin, USA.
