The Horse of the Sea-Series:Colors of Malibu #5 (+bonus art piece) Painting

Abstract piece, Acrylic on Canvas 18"x24". The original ships unframed at this time. Can be be hanged on the wall unframed as well. Signed and dated on the back. Please see additional pics for this art piece for a bonus artwork (a block of wood 13"x3.5"x1.5, with the abstract painting called "Long Journey") -Colors of Malibu series were inspired by the gorgeous landscapes of this coastal area. You can find more items of the series at malibuquietude.com and check later here. -I like taking a drive in the mornings up the famous Mulholland Drive, with my coffee and my puppy named Peeps. The mountains give me that vibe of peace and grounding and the ocean brings in me that vibrancy and playful energy. So, I attempted to bring together in this abstract piece the colors and movement of the ocean and brownish/yellowish tones of the mountains and the caves. I wanted the contrast of a dark negative space allow these gentle color palette I chose to appear more vibrant and alive. If you look at the lower right corner you can see a head of a horse surrounded by vibrant and gentle colors of the sea. I personally see shapes and faces everywhere, so if you like to explore you can spot deers and horses on this painting drinking water and wondering on top of the cliff of a falling water. I love when drips of paint manifest into something that I had no idea would be there when I started this painting. Hope you enjoy it.
