"The Many Faces of Adam & Eve: Once It Was A Garden"... by John L. Chandler... Original 16" x 24" acrylic Expressionist painting on masonite board with Brut influence. Inspired, at least in part, by Biblical reference: the story of Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden. Here, we see the original temptress - Eve - in what is left of the original garden over-indulging, along with Adam, in the forbidden fruit (the apple) as snakes appear as a kind of final warning to the couple. Eve has begun a transformation: she's looking as evil on the outside as are her motivations from within. And - I suppose - there are many human faces that come with original sin. Copyright by John L. Hi and thanks for viewing my profile. I love art and so many genres. I am influenced by many divergent schools, and admire far too many artists to really name here. And I do enjoy history. And speaking of history, I am both a fan and life-long student, which often affects the style, subject and nature of my work. I am fascinated by people, and love travel (which I've been privileged to partake in throughout most of my life). So - there you have it. Art - old and new. History, travel and people. These are the things that motivate me and my art! Thanks, John
