The circular work "The Observer and the Seeker", painted in acrylic and lacquer, forms a story from individual fragments. As the title already shows, it is about two figures: the passive and the active part. The first abstract figure is found standing upright in the left half of the picture. It represents the observer who looks at the barrel with bags in the right half of the picture. Out of the barrel appear square feet and an elongated body, but no face. This figure is stuck with its upper body in the barrel and seems to be searching for something. As the seeker, it represents the active counterpart to the observer. The seeker ventures into the "garbage and dirt". In other words, he searches, works and labors. Depending on the temporary life situation, man takes one or the other place. Either he is the sovereign observer who seems to be above things or he works his way down to finally find what he is looking for. The seeker is quite similar to the saying: Nothing comes from nothing.

Veronika Spleiss (born 1993) is a painter of hidden object canvases with their own philosophical stories. "The viewer seems to get lost in the overabundance of details in her paintings, which are located somewhere between comic and Kandinsky", as Jürgen Moises of the Süddeutsche Zeitung writes. The artist often uses abstract and geometric forms. Her painting palette resembles a rush of colour tones full of expressiveness, which in turn seem reduced within a work of art. With the colour and form described, her artworks show a confusion that makes us aware of the tension and diversity of life between order and chaos. Philosophically, the painter tries to take a look at all perspectives of everyday life. Veronika Spleiss is represented by renowned art galleries such as Galerie Klose, Grüne Zitadelle, singulart, and justBEE. Her "Wimmelbilder" can be found in private collections all over the world: in Japan, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and the USA.
