About The Artwork
I have always been fascinated by the luminosity and shimmer of fish, their scales illuminated by their surroundings. So, I wanted to paint a piece featuring fish with a ridiculous and absurd twist in its context - to make the piece a talking point. Calling it "The One That Got Away", this flying fish is the one that literally took your lure, caught some bubble balloons and went on a flight to somewhere different. I used oils on canvas, enjoying the lush pigments and the work-ability of the paint and medium.
