About The Artwork

A creek in a park in my town is surrounded by weeds, phragmites, and the sky. The colors are intense; the light equally so. I painted with a palette knife for the ease of layering color on color in a way that each has a distinct although tiny shape. I feel as if I am part of nature when I walk there. It is a good feeling, which I hope to share with my viewer. The painting is oil on heavy watercolor paper. It should be framed, but no glass is advisable on oil paint. I leave the choices of mat color and frame material and color to the new owner.
