About The Artwork
The work is part of the project "From Inside\Von Innen" exhibited at Dominikannerhaus in Steyr, Austria in an artist in residence program and it represents a "translation" of an old photography in a miniature painting keeping the effect of the aged and blurred photo of an unknown boy from the last century. The viewer can continue the story, can feel intrigued by the peaceful gaze of the boy and can fill the blanks. This is what inspires me in old family photos, the misterious story of a person you have never met but belongs to your family tree, "travels" in your DNA and has a story only because you discover it or only look at a damaged blurry image.
