I would love...
... to be able to explain what I create on my canvases...
... but I have never managed to come even close to capturing what it truly is.

I paint Sensations that are not what the "figures" or "scenes" might suggest at first glance.

It is nothing like what someone might perceive—even if they are looking right at it, and even if it appears obvious and recognizable.

I understand that, for the vast majority of people, an Orchid or the Chrysler Building would simply be seen, well, as a flower and, well, a building...

But I did *not* paint a building or a flower.

I painted Deep Satisfying Memories that hold a profound, abyssal allure for me—without any intention of explaining or justifying any of my Artworks.

I paint simply because I must.

I understand that Curators look for striking moments that captivate them—hoping, perhaps, to deem my Artwork significant—but the people who own my canvases (about 75 of them worldwide) acquired these pieces for the Artworks themselves.

And it brings me great pleasure and fulfillment that this is the case.

And they all are VERY significant Artworks.

I already exist in a deeply personal way for 75 living people, some of them own as many as 14 of my Artworks, surprising me by becoming my Art Collectors.

Ultimately, I paint for these people who feel deeply.

I hope you are one of them.

BE MY GUEST.
