The tree of life, connects heaven and the underworld, and all forms of creation and is considered to be a cosmic tree and the symbol of the love of God. Various trees of life are recounted in popular patterns and stories, culture and fiction, often relating to immortality or fertility. They had their origin in religious symbolism. For this theme I have combined 2 types of materials: glass and wood. I used Tiffany stained glass technique for my pieces of glass (painted in advance with Romanian ethnic patterns) the glass thus prepared is fixed on a golden wood panel. I had the idea of this artwork looking at a Coptic embroidery from the 2nd century AC But I used Romanian ethnic pattern because Romania is a country with an old and tumultuous history, very rich in Christian and pre-Christian symbolism, symbols found on popular costumes and embroidery.
