About The Artwork

The rarest of all Rhinocerotidae. The Urban Tatted Albino. Here we see the only known male in existence heading for an afternoon “chill” in it’s natural habitat above Lake Hollywood. Naturally adorned with colorful markings that mysteriously over time develop into detailed, ornamental tattoos that seem to symbolize imagery of human love and worship. Images of pop culture, spiritual icons, graffiti art completely cover the animal by age 10. There is no biological or scientific explanation for this phenomena. They wear this natural born, colorful cloak as both an urbanesque camouflage and method of self preservation. This colorful and majestic beast is revered the world over for it’s sheer power, grace and unrivaled International “street cred.” It’s believed that these divine markings have, in many circumstances, helped to protect them from the greedy machinations of inner city poachers and other soulless chumps alike. They are one of the World’s most mysterious and Endangered Species.

I was born in 1966, in Hollywood, California. I was born into a family of professional fine artists. My parents were two of the early pioneers of the LA street art festival circuit in the early 70's. It's in these fine art festivals that I have cultivated a very large and loyal US following. I am currently seeking representation abroad. Interested parties can reach me through my website.

My art has gone through various evolutions in the last two decades. I am probably most recognized for my hyper-stylized, kinetic portrayals of urbanite hooligans, musicians and athletes. These early Contemporary Pop Figuratives were the perfect subjects for him to refine and cultivate his unique ability to bend, twist and contort the perspectives of the human figure in motion. An avid animal lover, many of my favorite furry friends have staked their claim amidst the compositions of these earlier figurative works. In my latest body of work, I've completely redirected the focus from the figure to that of the animal realm.

These mystical creatures often posess human-like characteristics that serve as a whimsical reflection and satirical commentary on the adventurous plight of the human condition. The subjects are placed in both familiar and dream like realities where their actions and expressions convey the pure truth of completely existing in the moment. In the NOW.
Many of my paintings are really subliminal self portraits to a large degree. Compositions become stories that slowly reveal themselves to me over time.
