Every day, I walk across the Manhattan Bridge. When I came across a historical photograph its construction in the late 1800s, I was awestruck. The massive cranes so precariously perched ... the precision amidst bustling chaos... it was breathtaking. This is a large scale watercolor that required 20-25 hours of detailed work. It is a very neutral navy-ish gray (Paynes gray, to be exact) on Strathmore cold press 300 gsm watercolor paper.

I'm a NYC-based, self-taught artist specializing in watercolors. I'm drawn to detailed, organic forms with minimal palettes. I like to push the watercolor medium towards black and white photography by using tiny brushes and saturated pigments. My artwork is held by private collectors on six continents and available for sale on Saatchi and various shows in the New York area. More work is available at her website,
