The series started once upon a hot August day when I saw the plane in the light blue sky. I loved the tones of the skies, the foggy white air of the plane trail. This impression inspired me to create a collection of works that you see here. The planes reminded me of me and my friends-artists looking for their way in life. The art as a flight. What will it look like? will this path be interrupted or will it cross another artist's path? The works are different in approach: some are flat, linear, the plane bodies and their air trails create the ornamental pattern; others are pictorial, scenical, tangible as if you could feel the "flesh" of the skies and warmth of the plane air trails and the cold of metal body of the plane. Created in summer of 2020 all the works of this collection are imbued with the blueness of a bright sunny day and will bring summer vacation into your interior. Oil painting on canvas Unique work of art Size: 60 × 25 × 3 cm The work has a name and is signed on the reverse and front sides, and also has a certificate of authenticity.

Russia
I am an artist born in Moscow and it's my home. I work with, oil, watercolor and mosaic. Portraits, landscapes and sometimes genre scenes are the focus of my artistic interests. The heroes of my portraits are imaginary persons, the fruits of my immersion in the creative process, and mirror my inner state or sometimes are its antagonists. I find a lot of inspiration in Medieval, Byzantium, late Egyptian art. Its conventional spiritual language which was to express the inexpressible, visualize the invisible, I transform into modern materials such as watercolor and oil. Morandi and the artists of Ecole de Paris such as Modigliani, Picasso, Matisse, Villon, Bonard had a big impact on my approach. Many of them praised what western world now call "primitive arts" and invented the language of contemporary art. In my landscapes I’m searching for a state of a gorgeous moment, understatement and aesthetic of a pause between the depicted objects which creates the very tension and uniqueness of the moment.
