'The forest I had lost with my childhood' is oil on canvas and it's part of the 'Storytelling' series which focuses on archetypal dreams and stories. The concept of psychological archetypes was advanced by Carl Jung, according to him archetypes are innate, universal prototypes for ideas and may be used to interpret observations.

-Melinda is based in London. Her work focuses on philosophical and empirical questions emerging out of human experience, both individual and collective. Her main focus is the human condition and one's internal world one experiences amidst the expectations of society. She is interested in the present and the past, her paintings explore different points of view on existence. -Experimenting with colour is important in her creative process, as well as partially deconstructing the forms which allows her to find an equilibrium between figuration and abstraction. -Melinda was born as an ethnic Hungarian in Transylvania (Romania) in 1976 under the communist regime, and as a teenager she witnessed the sudden uprising of the people, which eventually ended it. She found the transition between the silent acceptance into the outburst of desire for freedom fascinating. Later this brought up Melinda’s interest in Psychology. -In 2009 she graduated from the University of Art and Design, Cluj receiving her BA in Fine Art, Painting. -In 2013 she moved to England.
