They say "Behind an artist, there is a muse." For Tien, that muse could be a person, a life-time event or sometimes even a ghost. Ain't we all haunted by ghosts? The ghosts from the past, who keep dangling in our heads like a string attached us to what we were. The ghosts from the present, who exaggerate every little conficts in our hearts, trying to steer us to what and where they want to. Some choose to fight with the figures in their heads, some choose to ignore to move on. But for Tien, art creates itself, it creates through the artist - as a carrier. He chose to let it out, let it transform itself in the paintings he makes, learning to live with the ghosts, embrace them and let them blossom.
