I'm absolutely fascinated by the color of the lava and the color of the deep ocean. This interaction prompts the viewer to look closely. I love playing with the different levels and the combination of light and shadow. I have deliberately limited myself to the portrait format. I live the moment while painting, the surprise of not knowing which final shape will be created with the acrylic paint.
