The picture is one of the series of works "Animals are also people". The most important inspiration for writing this series of paintings for me was the moment when I finished watching the TV series "Bojack Horse", which shows the life of typical Hollywood residents. The series is stunningly funny and monstrously tragic, where strange animal people live among ordinary people who have become the prototypes and the main plot of my paintings. There is a certain ambiguity in the portraits of this series, someone sees himself in these images, and someone sees his pet with his unique character. "Punks are not dead" is primarily an image of my youth, a collective image of my social circle. Many more subcultures were born in the world after that, but they all grew out of the same punks of the 70s, 80s, 90s. Therefore, I am sure that the plot will be able to catch people of different generations and will become a bright accent in its interior. The painting, measuring 40x50 cm, is painted on a cotton canvas with oil paints, the work is done with brushes and a palette knife. The edges of the drawing are colored in the background color. The canvas is covered with varnish. The picture will be sent to you on a stretcher and with fasteners for hanging in a reliable four-layer package: tracing paper, film, polystyrene foam, a tight box. After unpacking it, you can immediately hang the picture on the wall.

My name is Katya Ivleva, born in 1989. Since early childhood, I was accompanied by fine art. After graduating from art school, and preferring a fashionable profession in the field of design, in 2006 I went to study at the Ural State Academy of Architecture and Art in Yekaterinburg. I followed the path of a designer for many years and at the same time taught academic disciplines at an art school – drawing and painting. And it was while working at school that I felt my true vocation – to be an artist. There I was immersed in the methodological issues of fine art, every day I was faced with new information about painting, artists, works. And all this prompted me to take up a brush and create my own paintings. Now my works are in private collections in Russia and other countries. I participate in exhibitions and competitions. The main place in my work is occupied by figurative and portrait painting, I like to depict objects and people around me. There is also my third favorite topic — this is the image of animals, which I often endow with human features. I paint my works with oil paints. And I draw inspiration from my environment, create photos and spend hours searching for information that is interesting to me on the Internet, combine visual material and create author's compositions.
