The same air; acrylic canvas; 2024; 36 х 28 inches; 90 х 70 cm This painting speaks to the profound bond that exists among all living beings, highlighting the shared breath, the shared existence, and the intrinsic link that ties us all to the natural world. In this evocative scene, the woman stands gracefully alongside her equine companion, their forms blending seamlessly into the warm, earthy tones of the background. The gentle curve of her body and the soft, nurturing gaze towards her horse suggest a deep understanding and mutual respect. The horse, equally serene, embodies the tranquility and strength of nature, grounding the composition in a sense of timeless peace. The use of light and shadow in "The Same Air" enhances the ethereal quality of the moment, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that invites viewers to reflect on their own connections to nature and to each other. The warm, golden hues evoke a sense of warmth and comfort, symbolizing the life-giving energy that flows through all creatures. As the artist, I sought to capture not just a visual representation, but an emotional resonance—a reminder that we all share the same air, the same space, and the same essence. This painting is a celebration of the unity found in diversity, the beauty of coexistence, and the silent conversations that pass between all living things. "The Same Air" is perfect for those who seek art that inspires contemplation and reverence for the natural world. It is an ideal piece for spaces that celebrate harmony and connection, bringing a sense of calm and interconnectedness to any environment.

Artistic Statement I paint large scale contemporary pieces, up to three meters, that combine Expressionism and Abstract Expressionism. Also my artworks are land or seascapes and figurative art. The mix of styles creates is a dialogue between interior emotions and the outside environment. I like to think that all my art comes from a place of optimism and a celebration of life. I believe that the art and objects that we surround ourselves with can motivate people and infuse our lives with positive energy. I have always maintained, and tell my art students, that good art requires steady and constant effort and practice, so I make sure I paint every day. I am also constantly looking for ways to add new elements, stylistically and conceptually, to my work.
