Art Description

Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.

The Sinbad voyages are a series of paintings inspired by the daring sailor of the Arabian Nights. Sinbad plows the oceans and lands in unknown and surprising countries, meets every kind of danger, faces absurd and paradoxical situations. He is always able to return to his city, Baghdad, from which he promises to never leave again, to enjoy the wealth accumulated in his adventures. But, after some time spent in comfort, he can’t resist the desire to return to the sea. There are seven Sinbad journeys in the Thousand and One Nights, but I continue to make him travel, complying with his nature. Some elements, like stars, are made in collage. They do not come from external sources but are all designed by me, cut out and incorporated into the acrylic medium. The work is mounted on a frame and signed on the back.
