About The Artwork
Marek Ejsmond – Ślusarczyk - born in 1974 in Warsaw. He was studying at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts Painting Department at Professor Wiesław Szamborski Easel Painting Faculty. In year 2000 he graduated the studies winning the Academy Dean’s Special Honouration. He was presenting his works at the Warsaw Studio Gallery, Presidential Gallery, Promotion Gallery, the DAP, Painting Outhouse. Marek was frequently invite to take part in all-national and international exhibitions: at the 20th Polish Contemporary Painting Festival hold at the Pomeranian Princes Castle in Szczecin (2004), he won the West Pomeranian Governor’s Award, at the 2nd Warsaw Fine Arts Festival (2006), he was awarded the 3rd prize. In 2006, he participated in the following events: “Warsaw in Sophia” and “Warsaw in Berlin. Contemporary Polish Painting” and in the International Art Biennial in Costa Rica, “Man + Woman = Creation”. In the year 2007, one had an opportunity to see his works at the Polish Contemporary Painting Triennial at the Rzeszów Artistic Exhibitions Bureau and at the “Bielska Jesień” Painting Biennial hold at the local Artistic Exhibitions Bureau. In the year 2007 he won grant of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage’s Found for Promotion of New Creators. In the year 2009 he was awarded honorable badge “Deserved to Polish culture”.

Marek Ejsmond-Ślusarczyk, ur. 1974 r. Studiował na Wydziale Malarstwa warszawskiej ASP. Dyplom w pracowni malarstwa sztalugowego prof. W. Szamborskiego obronił w 2000 r. zdobywając wyróżnienie rektorskie. Często zapraszany do ogólnopolskich i międzynarodowych przeglądów. Na XX Festiwalu Polskiego Malarstwa Współczesnego na Zamku Książąt Pomorskich w Szczecinie zdobył Nagrodę Wojewody Zachodniopomorskiego (2004), na II Warszawskim Festiwalu Sztuk Pięknych uzyskał 3 nagrodę (2006). W 2006 r. uczestniczył w wydarzeniach: „Warszawa w Sofii”, „Warszawa w Berlinie. Współczesne malarstwo polskie”, w IV Międzynarodowym Biennale Sztuki na Kostaryce oraz w wystawie „Nowe Tendencje w Malarstwie Polskim” w Galerii Miejskiej BWA w Bydgoszczy. W 2007 r. jego obrazy można było zobaczyć na 37. Biennale Malarstwa „Bielska Jesień” w tamtejszym BWA oraz na I Międzynarodowym Biennale Obrazu „Quadro-art 2007” w Łodzi. W 2007 r. otrzymał nagrodę doroczną kwartalnika Exit – nowa sztuka w Polsce oraz był stypendystą Fundusz Promocji Twórczości Ministerstwa Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego. W 2009 r. odznaczony przez Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego Bogdana Zdrojewskiego za twórczość malarską oraz za osiągnięcia w dziedzinie edukacji artystycznej odznaką honorową Zasłużony dla kultury polskiej. W 2014 r. na Wydziale Malarstwa warszawskiej ASP uzyskał stopień doktora sztuki w dziedzinie sztuk plastycznych.
