This is artwork from the series "Odesa shores". In Ukrainian the name is "O'береги" which is an interesting play of words, that means both “shores” and “amulets” . This name got a special significance after the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine. I was inspired to create these series by the bright nature of the Odesa coast. Frequent walks along the slopes by the sea give many subjects for embodiment in painting. The dance of herbs from the breath of a warm wind, the bright sun sparkling with glare on the surface of the sea or the alluring colors of the southern sunset - I tried to convey all this in my artworks. At the moment, the series includes 6 artworks and continues to grow. The artworks are made in various easel painting techniques and are united by a common plot theme of the landscapes of the Odesa coast. Painted on premium cotton. It has been taken off the stretcher bars and rolled for safety in shipping and will need to be taken to your framers and restretched. The sides of the canvas have been painted and is a continuation of the painting, so once restretched the image wraps around the edges. The painting is finished with coats of mate varnish which will protect the painting and also enhanced the vibrancy of the colours. The painting comes with a certificate of authenticity.
