They Called me the Hyacinth Girl Painting

I make largely figurative paintings which give a casual approach to topography, boundaries between interior and exterior spaces are allowed to break down and objects reappear in differing scenes (paintings). I think of my painting as distilled images, objects flattened and simplified, rooms becoming stage sets. The novels I read are an influence on the atmosphere/scene created, often the books themselves appear.
