About The Artwork
I finally finished putting my new studio together and decided I wanted to cut and assemble my own stretcher bars and stretch my own canvas. I made a slight error on a bevel, and ended up having to lop some edges, giving this piece its odd size of 59x59. I decided to just go at the canvas with any paint I had available. It eventually felt like an open wound and in the end, I added what resembled stitches to the middle. The title was from a piece of poetry I wrote some years ago.
