Born in Istanbul in 1967, Cüneyt Süer left the Mimar Sinan University Department of Architecture in 1987 and enrolled in the Department of Graphics at the same school. He started working as an assistant graphic designer during his student years. In 1989, while he was already a student, he began working as a page secretary in a weekly cinema newspaper and his press adventure continued in many select daily newspapers. He worked as an art director in Eroskop, a comic strip magazine in which his single-page cartoon stories were published. He undertook the technical coordination of 34 periodical journals, in a publication group. His entertainer stories were published in many magazines of the same group. In 1995, he entered the advertising business and ran his own advertising agency for over 20 years. Since 1998, he has been actively involved in many exhibition organizations by undertaking the brand design of Real Collection - The 21st Century’s Antiques. Working on over 1,000 dia positives in the Anıtkabir collection, he created a series of Atatürk portraits. Between 2011 and 2014, he was the editor of the Istanbul Culture and Art Events Bulletin, which was distributed free of charge in high circulation. His many articles on photography, cinema and culture and art were published in various magazines. Since 2015, he has left his active business life and returned to painting which he has been working as a hobby since his school years. Cüneyt Süer works on the relationship between his exaggerated urban texture and the sea. It has a wide range of colors, a lot of cartoons, a little texture, but, in his own words, “a lot of ‘graphical’ values”.
