I decided for this work to take a radical counter-step to my usual practice, far from working in dilution, I worked the material in the highest possible density. The canvas is completely covered with thick layer structural gel with large protuberances. The relief thus created, opens a third dimension to the surface that passes from one state to another, just like the color that passes from blue to brown to lead to gold. The pattern is completely blurred, drowned in an irradiant light that tends to make the subject disappear from the painting. I wanted to express the notion of transformation in the alchemical sense of the term and as it can be encountered on earth when natural forces manage to modify the constitution of certain elements. https://youtu.be/o8mHdpQGx7o
