About The Artwork

Acrylic painting on canvas. First from the triptych. Foot. "Treasure". The inspiration were broken pieces of porcelain which we found on our allotment. These pieces are treasures for my daughter - power objects. Treasures for us are other people, and life. The results are these paintings where my daughter a piece of porcelain. I also wanted to refer to how much we are connected with nature, that we are nature and we are inspired by it. Pieces of porcelain pointing to the transience, fragility of life and we should appreciate every moment ".

To gain that feeling of comfort with uncertainty I love to experiment on a different fields of arts to tell a story. Stories from my life, memories and subconscious. Everything is like a dream or illusion to me. Play of forms, energy which I try to capture. Throughout the creating process I observe a plot of my mind. Projects are after images of dying storylines which I let go. I surrender to a process that is very often a ritual of healing emotions. From an early age I have always had this question, "who am I ?". My inspiration comes from the urge for self growth, that is why I refer to mysticism, shamanism, quantum physics - psychomagic - learning about the mind and body and spirit connections. I discovered how we are conditioned and unaware of our behaviors and where they came from. It's like being in a loop or in a hamster wheel - in a circle of repeating patterns. I am using patterns in some of my work to depict this phenomenon. Grażyna Wikierska, born in Poland in 1978 and currently live and work in Somerset, England.
