This painting is organized in three areas. 1. The dark hue in the bottom of the painting. 2. The bright colors of the buildings in the middle. 3. The gray sky. The painting symbolizes the crisis in Athens. This feeling is intensified by the turbulent sky and the dark hue of the roads. The light is highlighting the three buildings which are the Library and the two section of the Academy, symbols of the knowledge. The title "Trilogy" is a reference to the Ancient Tragedy and implies the artist's intensions.

Dimitris Sarasitis was born in 1963 in Athens. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts under professors P. Tetsis, R. Papaspyrou, and D. Mytaras. He graduated in 1996. Works of his form part of prestigious private and public collections, like the Bank of Greece, the Greek Parliament, the Ecumenical Patriarchate and more. Some of his works have been auctioned by Sotheby's Institute of Art.
