About The Artwork
Painted on canvas board, this abstract work is an exploration of colour relationships. I worked hard to contrast muted colours with bolder, brighter ones to draw the eye around the canvas. Paul Klee - a true master of colour - has been a vital inspiration to me since childhood and I’m sure you can see his influence in my work. My aim in all my paintings is to reveal the lively dialogue different colours have together. This painting is called Trust because I feel it depicts light at the end of a tunnel, a light we trust will eventually appear during a difficult time. Signed and dated on the back.
